Learn the ins and outs of this challenging career from someone who knows the career first hand! This course is 180 hours long with lecture, lab, and clinical experiences at two local nursing homes and the hospital. This is an 10-week course designed to enable you to be job-ready in a career in Dental Assisting. According to the Labor Department, there should be more than 91,000 openings for dental assistants up to the year 2020. That amounts to more than 30% employment growth, which is much faster than the average for all professions. The need for so many more dental assistants is easy to cipher: A large aging population intensifies the demand for quality healthcare and qualified practitioners. Our program is designed to teach all the aspects of obtaining employment in the field, helping you to prepare to take national dental exams, perfecting your resume and learning how to find employment in Dental Assisting. After completing our program, you will be provided the opportunity to sit for The Dental Assisting National Board, Inc. (DANB®), Radiation Health and Safety (RHS®). Should a student decide to intern in the field, we will work with the student to obtain those internships.

This 10 week Group Fitness and/or 10 week Personal Training Certification will provide you national certifications through AFAA (Aerobics and Fitness Association of America). This program is designed to teach you the skills you need to successfully enter these professions on a full-time or part-time basis. We will help you to change the lives of others while you make money doing what you love. As a Group Fitness Instructor, you will be able to effectively lead any type of group exercise program. This program, which also includes CPR and First Aid certifications, is the first level of certification you will need order to start your new career. You can work in any type of fitness facility including: Assisted living and colleges, even working with children or working with kids involved with sports. Some types of group fitness include: Yoga, Pilates, Zumba, boot camp, interval training, step aerobics, water aerobics, Spinning, and more. As a Personal Trainer, you can choose to work independently with clients for yourself or choose to work at a fitness facility where they provide you the clientele. If you are looking to change one life at a time and work closely with a client, this is a great career. Most group exercise instructors are also personal trainers and do a little bit of both to supplement their income. Some of the skills you will need include: Excellent communication skills, creativity, knowledge of nutrition and fitness do’s and don'ts which are taught in programs like ours. This is a career that is constantly changing, so continued education will be essential, which can be accomplished by attending conferences, online resources, health and nutrition materials such as magazines, reports, and books. You will be required to keep up with credits towards your certifications every year.

The COCTM exam validates your specialized payment knowledge needed for these jobs in addition to your CPT® and ICD-9 coding skills. Invest in your future with the COCTM certification---those with the COCTM earn 61% more than non-credentialed coders. The healthcare industry is highly dependent on skilled and qualified medical coders to accurately record, register and keep track of each patient's account. Medical Coders really don't have too much interaction with insurance companies and patients. This job is perfect for someone who would prefer to spend time analyzing and coding data. Every duty performed in a medical office has a particular code assigned to it, and it needs to be coded properly in order for proper billing. The Medical Coder and Biller often work together to make sure all invoices are paid properly.
